Thanks mate. I'm nothing special, just tidy up things as I go and try to buy the best I can afford.

I've thought about the detail Alex and Stu put in their cars, and mine is miles off that standard, but I still want it to be the best it can be.

Keep evolving yours and it will improve.

    Cheers!

Fitting is easy, it's the new radiator, ECU, fuel lines, wideband o2 etc etc that are going to take time and cost

You going to run the ITB's on an 8v or 16v?

I'd love to get your advice. I was going to hit you up in any case!

This car is sending me broke and to a relationship breakdown with the mrs!

    Just sent you a link.

8v ITBs are a waste of time unless you have money to burn. You need to spend too much on internal work to get any sort of a gain. At least on the 16v, you can get a nice head and cams and still make ok power. A worked 8v ends up driving like a stock 1.8 16v but has even less torque!

Often good 16v heads available second hand, too

P.S. Mrs will get over it. Just use my line: "Well at least I don't spend the money on crack, booze and other minge." It works surprisingly well :p

Researching standalone management hurts my head a great deal!
