    Just cleaned up this thread.

Hats off to Stu for manning up and accepting that it was his fault.

At least no-one was hurt, show us the gory pics when you get the beast back.

    Peace.

I have been following the rebuild on your Golf for quite some time. Always amazed at the time and effort you have placed into it's build. The speed in which you replaced gearboxes, the painting, dealing with k-jet, installing the engine - the list goes on.

You gave me the inspiration to replace my front wheel bearings, when you did yours. However, next time I will remember too tighten the brake caliper bolts....

It's a shame to see it damaged, Glad that everyone is O.K. (Not much safety equipment in a MK1!).

I remember what it was like to be 18 some 22 years ago... so don't be to hard on yourself.

Most importantly it was mentioned you may go to court? If so, please get some legal advice. People that deal in these situations daily, can make it a lot easier on you.

    Just my two cents.

thanks mate that makes me smile...i did put a lot a lot of work into it and spent countless hours of work on it prepping, pondering and smiling when i got things right i replaced gearboxes in the rain and worked on it through the night until it got light so i could drive to work the next day...i have learn't sooooo much from trial and error and from you guys...this dub made me so happy and i just f##ked it for myself :'( so much happened in the 23 days, 18 hours and 2 minutes i had it registered. i spent more than 1 year and 41 days sorting and thinking what i was going to do with it when i got my original 4 door...and then it turned into a 2 door

i'm def gunna get legal aid or a lawyer...will help me in the end run

well guys i will look extensively at the damage and make measure ments and look at the repair bill...maybe it is repairable...i was in shock last nigth and those pics do look fairly crazy...maybe i could make a tube frame front end ...this man just got me inspired...The life of Bucket...

Hopefully it is repairable, you never know.

The Bucket story is great - amazing what that guy did to his car. I haven't read it all yet but the pics tell a story

    Cheers
