Thanks mate, Appreciate the Kind Words

To be honest, most of it was cleaning, took 3 washes to get it cleaned, then again im picky, so i was cleaning anything i could reach lol.
I reckon this be the last Mk1, not unless your doing something with the Auto 2 door

Thinking a Mk2 might be something to look into later on.

So a little has happened lately,

Got some welding done, some rust fixed on floor. Gearbox oil changed and brakes bleed.

Only issue im having atm is timing the damn thing,
Im setting the crank at TDC via the flywheel, im using the DOT as tdc, and the pencil in the cylinder 1 plug trick
Next im setting the cam via the dot on the INSIDE of the cam wheel and lining it with the top of the cylinder head.and making sure the cam lobes are doing the "bunny ears"
put belt on, tension it, turn it my hand a few times then check to see if the marks line back up.
Next i put the Dizzy back in, i try to put it in with the notch facing the block, or 12 O'clock while looking at it.
Which ever way the rotor button faces is Spark plead #1, follow clock wise 1 3 4 2.

It fires up but sounds like a 2 cylinder on crack, the dizzy needs huge amounts of adjustments to make the idle barely move.
Advancing the timing on the dizzy, do i turn it clockwise or anti? i usually do it the way in which it increases the idle and smoothness.

Ive redone this process atleast 5 times this arvo and no change, im at a loss as to what to do.
I currently dont have the alternator on, would this affect it? please say no, other wise im going to facepalm the keayboard.
