Hey all!! for those who have helped me out and kept me positive, i want to say thanks, cause on saturday i will be collecting my long awaited.....

It is a project... with becoming my daily by August being the main goal!!

the main issues are-

-small rust on front drivers side panel (around where side and hood join)
-small rust on front drivers side panel (under rubber door stripping thingy)
-small rust hole on left skirt

- engine currently missing some spark plugs and leads
- possible blockage in fuel hose
- expecting battery to be screwed

-seals around doors are basically 0

the pluses are-

- the hood is off a swallowtail, (must have swapped somewhere inlife)
-has GLS dash
-other than tiny bumb the body is straight.
-is about to be bought buy someone who will bring it back to life!!

the plans-

as soon as i get her home on saturday i will wash her well, a quick cutt and polish and maybe a wax if i think it will make a difference.

Getting the engine in tip top shape with a good clean up and possibly a rebuild.

Treat rust as best i can, prime, colour match if possible (good friends dad owns body works shop)

get chrome bumpers looking nice and shiny, with a new chrome exhaust to match

I have some 15" simmons wheels 7" front bands and 7.5" rear bands with streched tyres ready to go straight on

I am waiting for the arrival of GTI wheel arches

(will have painted satin black)

I will be lowering it so arches hover just above tyres

All new custom interior(fabricated and installed by mwa)

small duckbill (yet to finalise)

cross hair head lights and smoked indicators (yet to finalise)

white GTI decals either side (if suits)

Sit tight everyone! i'll be photodocumenting every step of the way, and updating this thread regularly, cause i need all the help and advise i can get!!
