giving the little things love is what really improves the overall look of the car. Having repainted wiper blades and mirrors etc, really help the car not look like a piece of sooot.

Bloody agreed Jarred. I've repainted door handles (new gaskets too), wheels, polished hub caps, painted badges, polished door trims (gave the rubber a work over too) etc etc.
It all ads up and if you can't see the bonnet or drivers side of the car, it looks just about showroom!

hey everyone, had my uncle (mechanic) come round to check out the mk1 this arvo, and have a few things i need to check out..

-Needs a new passenger side driveshaft assembly (CV joint and shaft)
-Positive from coil goes where???? Resistor? if yes, i need to get one because mine is missing.
-I need a manual if anyone has one.. Or diagram of wiring?? previous owner left a mess of the wiring...
-Has no headlight controller... switch or something??

It cranks which is good, and nothing over the top we can see.. just the above need ammending.. Been a pretty crap day hahaha as i was hoping she'd fire up and i'd be able to get it ready for roadworthy..
