    Intermediate shaft

Just wondering if it has to be aligned with the crank pulley?

i had dizzy out when i did it, i put it in and lined up rotor with notch, and i got plug leads in right order.
all the timing marks are spot on, just forgot about the intermediate shaft intill i had put dizzy in and timing cover back on..

Just wondering if this will affect anything? should i undo it all and redo it with intermediate shaft line up?

PS, engine is not ready to crank over yet so havnt tried starting it

So long as your dizzy is right it won't bother it. The only other thing it drives is the oil pump.

    Good to know!!

Also, if i turn the crank so the notch is facing the diamond mark on flywheel (6BTDC) and make the dizzy rotor face notch on dizzy. would this mean my base timing is 6BTDC ?

Just wanna make sure its fine to fire it up like that.

I just set it all up to TDC (0°) before I fire it up.
