    Yep that black steel clip just to the right of where you drew the 2 should have a self tapper in it. Don't bother putting one in there though it's a PITA to get out.

    Oh yea, I see it. meh. Due to the dash being warped like it is, the cluster is naturally, well, 'stuck' in

    did a quick search for the 'pinouts', came up empty handed.



    So does anyone know which is whic (earth, +12V, +7V reg, with 1,2,3) or do I just need to make a circuit and test it with a multi?

    LOL, I can remove mine in about 30 sec, had to do it too many times already! Playing with electrics sucks, I feel your pain

    gah! thanks Pete. Really appreaciate it!

    I even saw that post, in the thread started by Cam, the former owner of my car! and even saw that bit in there, just didn't click!

    OT: you know those bolts I lost. well I found them put them in a box and everything, in what turned out to be a really obvious (but not visible) spot. So I went and used most of the nuts and stuff that you gave me Pete, why not? All the exhaust manifold bolts were starting to get rounded off anyways! Thanks again Pete.
