Yea thinking east outer Melbourne or Adaliade Hills, something with a few acres, where your not surrounded by other people who overlook your garden.
I imagine the Great Ocean Road, would be nice a drive in the MK1 with the hood down on a sunny day : )

Thanks for the heads up, same problem here.. lovely coast roads in Devon, Cornwall, but every other vehicle is a caravan grrrrrr and the roads are single laned with tight turns so when you overtake you can't see what's coming the other way.

trouble with them MK1's you can't see in the dark lol, might as well have Victorian candles in there like horse drawn carriage.. all though the newer 2.0 dash bulbs are good so you can see the clocks and I've heard about a headlight loom the connects directly to the battery so headlights are much brighter.

Headlights are easy to fix. Wire in 2 relays so they take their power directly from the battery and use the existing low and high beam wiring to trigger the relays. Relays then supply proper 12v direct to the lights.

Did this to my MK2 and the difference was like night and day. I was going to fit 100 watt globes but didn't need to.

    Cheers

    Paul
