Hey Dom, Have you reversed the end caps on the front bumpers? I reckon it looks good but was wondering if I was seeing it right. Well done on the car.

They are upsidedown - whole car looks great anyway, Dom. Lose the stickers and the overriders and it would be perfect, though

see, i was thiniing that also, but i read up that the bumpercaps flow with the guard line?? although when i look at the back ones in that pic they flow with the rear valance.... might swap them over today

ohh and about loosing the overwriders, and the stickers, if i do, shell just be another ordinary chrome bumperd golf, im keeping the towbar, the chrome scratch plates, and definetly the overwriders, thats what sold the car for me!!! hehe

    Nice spotting c-issler & valver.

I checked my stock 76 out the back & they are upside down.

    The back ones are right

Maybe they stuffed up at the factory like that.

Can these bumper's be flipped or have the bracket's flip around?

From memory Tim, I'm pretty sure they can be flipped.

Yeah, but you've gotta be careful with the tongue of plastic that locks in with the metal of the bumper. they obviously perish a bit and might snap. From memory they're 25 - 50 euro apiece to buy new from OS suppliers.

The bumpers cannot be "flipped as there are bolt holes underneath for the towing hooks
Most definately the ends on the front sre upside down.

Thats what they are! I've never know that. Thought they were for factory/dealer foglights or something.

Pretty sure I've put my bumper on upside down before. which is when I noticed those holes, and flipped it back over.

Which is why most chrome bumpers are bent. That towing eye was a silly idea
