    Idle Problems

    hi there.

    so the rebuilt engine is running, however it doesnt idle. if i take off the accelerator then it just dies, anybody know the problem?

    heres a picture of the passenger side of the carby if it helps

    look for any screw or nut or anything coming off the throttle cable, follow it through from the accelerator pedal if you have to...

    then tension it, more tension on it will open the throttle more and bring up the revs.

    With the engine turned off have someone press down a few times slightly on the accelerator pedal while you look at what moves on the carby. There should be a screw that holds the throttle open. The more you turn the screw the more the throttle opens. Set it so the car idles.
