How do I remove this part?

The silver metal trim around the door windows,
There is no clear way to get these off without bending them as far as I can see.

    Cheers.

there are two small clips that 'join' the two halves' (well, cover the join atleast) (i'm assuming you've got them off already)

Then just take them off carefully. IIRC the top one first, from the back part of the door (side of the door with the door handle in it). Pull the Vertical piece outwards, then downwards and it should come out pretty easy.

Don't worry if they bend a bit, they can be bent back pretty easily.

Just lift the tail up with a screw driver (put something under it so you don't damage your paint) and peel them off.

They get a bit of a bow in them but that can be easily straightened. As long as you are careful not to kink them you should be ok to reuse them.

Main tool you need is patience!
You gotta remove all the associated window seals btw, if you hadn't figured that out already.

Drill the rivet in the door (behind the door card) that holds the sliding window channel, remove door glass (the big bit), undo the screw at the top of the sliding glass channel behind the felt crap, wiggle the vent window free and remove the whole lot from the door.

You will have seriously ass naked door by the end of this.
