Help really needed - dodgy electrics

    Well, the time has come.
My windscreen wipers have finally stopped working after intermittently failing for a few weeks. Now my headlights have stopped working too. They still come on full beam, but only stay on if you suppress the arm.
I've been through the fuse box, had a stab at checking out some earthing but it all looks ok to me.
Any suggestions would be wicked cos if it gets dark and starts raining, I'm f&@&ed.
    Cheers guys, harry

It could be related to the ignition switch, have a look at this as I've been having issues with mine :

Mine's booked in with auto-electrician for tomorrow, haven't had time to look at it myself due to work & family and I need it as the rainy season is upon us Come to think of it the rainy season never goes away
    Hope it helps

Result on mine was duff No.18 relay, might be worth checking that first. It appears to be the multi-tasker relay and a few things go through it from the dash.

Maybe swap relays, to check...also if you have to keep the arm suppressed, maybe the arm switches are faulty or dirty..? Cant think of anything else, if the fuses are all good, then maybe get a multi-meter and start checking the switches etc...

    Good luck!

This was a weird fault as the wipers etc worked when the full beam was on!!

It proved to be a problem with the ignition switch, easil;y fixed with a new one

Looks like the switches are failing on a lot of cars of late.

Had mine replaced earlier in the year.
