I think that's brakes. It's driven off the differential pressure between the split brake circuits. It's designed to tell you when your master cylinder is failing.
But I could be wrong of course. I'll have a look in the user manual tonight.

Hey Guys
Just a quick question, since yesterday morning I have been getting a hazard light flickering on and off when I start to slow down
Its the red light that has this (!) on it on the right hand side of the dash.
I have no idea what it is but was wondering what fault it could be tripping?
The car seems fine and goes OK so I can't think of anything off the top of my head, much help would be appreciated.
Cheers Steve

Thanks for the quick responce Pete, I think you may be right my brakes are crap as they are this could be the problem.
It seems to happen everytime I start to slow down really

I think it is also when there is a pressure issue in the brake lines.
Two questions:
1. have you or someone else tinkered with any part of the brake system?
2. How old is the brake fluid?
See how you go.
Master cylinders are reasonably simple to replace with a clear area to work in and some help from a mate to bleed to circuits. At the same time you may as well flush out the old fluid with new fluid.
