Mk3 1800s are the easiest swap. All the manifolds are the same and just bolt up. Put a performance carby on it and save yourself the bother of all the wiring.

The 2E 2.0 will go in too of course, if you put an 1800 head on the 2.0 it makes things simpler for all the reasons above.
