Golf GLi Badge on a Mk I convertible?

    I have seen a 1992 Mk I convertible with a GLi badge.

I have never seen this before? Is this OK or not?

In UK I have seen 'Clipper' etc but never GLi.

    Can you shed any light............

Thanks for that. It seems strange that it would on a 1992 model? I have also seen a GLi badge on a 1980 convertible.
