    Gear Linkage Fouling

    Hi all.

I have lost the rear 2 gates when shifting (2nd and 4th) due to one of the gear linkages hitting on the 4-2-1 manifold. I was wondering what changed to cause this to start happening?

The linkage hits on the top 15mm of the stud on the manifold that is closest to the linkage. Would there be enough adjustment in the linkage to fix this?
    (Engine is a 2.0 ABF, gearbox is a 5sp 020)

    Thanks in advance,
    Tom.

I'd take a look at the engine and exhaust mounts first. Might even be possible to push the motor over a bit in the bay to help clearance.

Check the rear gearbox mount in particular, they can come apart.

If all else fails grab a big rubber mallet and knock the exhaust a bit sideways.

ok thanks, turns out to be one of the side engine mounts. i recently replaced the gearbox mount with a diesel mount and it is still holding up ok.
