seen a similar set fitted to a mk3 golf in the latest vw performance mag didn't look to bad it also had a air cooled engine in the back
Hi guys
Thinking a set of these would look pretty sweet on a MK1...

apart from getting adapters, is there anything else to consider offset, width etc
Cheers in advance

You need the confirm the offset but as they are so narrow, I reckon you could probably sneak them on with adaptors. You would probably want 4 the same width, not the 2 different widths as used on a beetle.
Offsets are +6....4.5 or 5.5 width
how thick adapters do u reckon i would need to run?
Cheers
go down alright..
sorry mate, these wheels wont work, not with those offsets!
remember a std wheel has the offset of +45 (5" rim), and already these wheels are already going to stick out a further ~40mm, then add an adapter, the thinnest are about 15mm, which leaves your final ET at about -10, which is 55mm further out than the original wheel.
sorry mate, these ones wont work. you want to try and find replicas with a higher (ie +30 atleast!) before you can think about buying them
Also, I believe this topic has been bought up before, have a quick search around, and i'm sure you'll find some more info.
