    Scott.

The GTI arch trims are still available brand new (aftermarket) for about $200. You'd be better off sourcing some ex-UK eBay, though, where there are plenty around for cheap.

I wouldn't bother with an LSD in the 4spd - or an LSD full-stop until you have a bigger engine In any case, they're made by Peloquin, Gemini/VW Motorsport, Kaaz, Quaife, Bauer Motorsport (Germany) and a few others I can't remember.

The Peloquin seems like the best value and is very popular in the States.

I would spend the money on suspension upgrades first. Can't beat a good set of coilovers, poly bushes and swaybars, before anything else. A front lower strut brace is a definite one too.

a little trick I just heard about for the tranny

If you are using a tranny with 90mm output shafts (like a 4k from an 83gti) If you install the springs from a newer 100mm output tranny from a MK2, the springs are stiffer therefore less slippage when under load. I have heard of a few guys doing this in the midwest in the states.

I just picked up another whole car with GTI wheel arch trims, a plastic rear bar (missing the front damit) & extractors for $200.00! Bargain! Cheers.
