You should have stuck new top mounts in when you installed the shocks if your using the later style rubber jobs. The earlier type will likely transmit a greater amount of force through to the body structure.

bolts you can get thru tyre dealers. Loon has a place listed somewhere that does loads too ( website on the other pc )
    Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...

If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

    Cheers,
    Grant...

made myself a little parcel shelf after work today, apologies for the photo but its a bit wild outside and the mk1s confined to the shed. its only a very simple design consisting of some fabric board a staple gun and some plugs screwed in for the mounting points but i think it sits in there well and looks a hell of a lot better than the previous gap. will get a better photo in the sun.

same fabric will be going into making some covers for my sun visors on the front

my boss also had a blower left over from his xd build so we hacked a great big hole in my bonnet and teck screwed/super glued it to my weber...

    suits it to a T.

haha on another subject though my odometer has stopped working, speedo still works and all other gauges just the odo's not ticking over? anyone had experience with fixing this, have tried a search but not much turned up

the checkers look cool i reckon.

It's possible that with the odo, the small plastic gear has cracked, which means it's become loose on the shaft and is just freely spinning, and not turning the numbers. Not too hard to pull out and have a look. might be able to be fixed with some super glue, but i used a replacement cluster I had lying around. hth

threw some colour at the mk1 over the weekend came up alot better than i thought to begin with, started colour coding a few things in the engine bay too, most of the parts i'm going to do have had a shuitty black touchup can sprayed on them so i dont feel bad, will do them like this until i get the time to get them cleaned up and powdercoated black. next to go will be the rad fan support. thinking either lilac or orange haha

apologies for the photos i cant find my good camera and cant work out the settings on this one, so everything looks pale, but its better than phone quality
