Matte black for me...mainly because I don't want to feel like i should spend hours polishing the damn thing every 6 months, cos i tend to get carried away with my other car.

White, Black and Mars Rot looks good especially in GTI trim.

I really like the Pale blue colours especially with chrome bumpers

I think its Mars red the mk1s came in

My '82 black mk1 had green glass all round...

I would say Black for in GTi spec, and any pastel colour for that retro look with all the chrome....

yay! i got one (a car in helios blue (LA5Y) ) not a picture though

i like white

and i really liked my old one in mid blue - an almost unseen mk1 colour apart from bits of racing mk1's....

and a garish green anyone?
