Far Out Parts Beware Rip Off Merchants

Guys just a headsup and warning for all others out there considering buying parts from far out parts. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY!!!!! i ordered window seals for my mk1 golf in MAY this year and got told there were a few delays with supply but they still billed my ccard, no hassles i thought i'll just wait the couple of weeks and all will be well. I emailed them in July asking about where my order was, again a reply within a day saying that all the seals bar the rear hatch was there and they would be shipping shortly. August came and went and they said that they were just shipping it now. Finally i got p- off and emailed them asking where the **** the seals were and if they can't supply them then return my money, No reply and i have emailed them many times since and not a single reply from the ********. Worse still i spent $1400 on the seals and because the ****** are in the US i cannot get them prosecuted and have no way of getting my coin back!
Next year im going to the states and i think i'll be going to see Far out parts and bunch his damn face in, Parts are hard enough to get let alone when you have to deal with rip off merchants like these. Guys save your cash and don't buy anything from these ******* hey, there are now reports surfacing everywhere about these guys ripping people off! Now i need to find some window and door seals for my golf, anyone have any suggestions???

ring them mate - find the number and ring them up. an email is not the best kind of communication where large sums of money are concerned. even if you have to stay up one night - wont it be owrth it to speak to someone there and demand it to someone who must be listening, not just junking your emails...

i hope you can get something out of this fiasco. i am sorry for you.

which payment method did you use? perhaps there is some recourse?

This is one of the many reason it pays to be extra cautious about buying from overseas. Ive been fortunate so far. The worst thing that happened to me was it took over 6 months for a package to arrive by snail mail!

    Thats a bit rough Mate.

I`d call em up as Aydan says.

If still no joy, I`d do your plan when in the States.

damn, that sucks bad! Thats the biggest fear I have about buy stuff from overseas! Really sucks, I do feel sorry for you.

If the phone call doesn't work, and since you won't be able to take dady's special fitting tool OS, make sure you stop by yankee stadium, and pick up a little suvineeer piece. Thats longish. And circular. And wooden. And looks like a bat.

Thats poor mate, I hope you get what you paid for in the end. Just dont get arrested after some satisfaction whilst in the USA.
Ive never bought anything online/overseas before, and the more I read the more it tells me not to.

If you purchased by giving them your credit card by email or phone, call your bank and dispute the charge on your card.

If it is in the USA, say to the bank you have no idea why that was charged to your card.

    Worth a try.
