If you email an enquiry to a company overseas, its too much trouble.

CALL THEM with a telephone and a credit card at the ready and they will happily help.

I have ordered stuff off GPC and no matter what they tell you, they always send stuff surface mail. I got sick of waiting 3 months for things. However, everything I ordered showed up eventually and they will ship to Oz.

That's bad news, Volksee. I wonder if there's a collection agency you could contact in SF who might be interested in getting your money back (obviously ... for a fee).

With email at least you have something black and white, btw I've got reply from them this morning, their price is more expensive than USA though. If anyone is interested please PM me for their prices.

no prob, hope it helps out

I hope I can hit you guys up for some good info in the near future for my 82 westy (us built) 3d Rabbit (99.9% rust free). Just waiting to see if it is going to get in at the tech school for body work and paint (while the snow is around and its to cold to work on it in the shed). The engine is ready to roll 1.8 scirocco with a redone head (3 angle valve grind) shaved and cromed valve cover, rebuilt tranny But I also have a 4k tranny out of an 83 gti (have not figured out which one I am going to put in yet). I have many more plans but I need to get a dig camera first then I will post it.

Guess i'm the lucky one then, i got some new genuine pivoting 1/4 vent window rubbers from the dealer, and was warned away from FarOutParts by Brian at GTI import saying the seals didn't fit very well. He did point toward another company, but i can't remember the name. I will check after new year.
