Exhaust leak right at the head

    Hi everyone,

I've got an exhaust leak right at the head. I'm wandering whether it's safe to drive or I'm going to burn out my valves? Should i get it towed back to the exhaust shop or will driving be ok?

I Had a set of headers and new exhaust installed about 6 months ago and I keep getting leaks, this is the third time. The shop didn't instal a flexible pipe and I think that must be the problem, can anyone shed some light?

    Thanks, Ed

You'll be right to drive it to the shop.

Did they install new exhaust gaskets and use proper copper nuts?

A flexy joint is needed, especially with stock rubber engine mounts.

Thanks Peter. All new gaskets and bolts but the missing flexihose must be the problem. I'll make sure one goes in when I take it back. Thanks again for the advice, Ed
