    Engine Numbers and Vins

    I was wondering if anyone on the site knows where i can check engine numbers and vins to tell me exactly whats in a Golf and what sort it is!

    Any helps appreciated!

    If you like, pm'd the chassis(the number on the RH strut tower or complience plate) & engine number and I'll see what I can find.
    You could also try a VW dealer.
    Is your Golf Australian delivered or private import?
    JH engine's were also fitted to Australian Golf 's from 8/89-7/93 incl Mk1 cab's
