    Electric Golf

Does anyone have any info on this Elektro-Golf that VW were testing back in the 70s. Its in their museum.

Sure- It costs about 10 grand to convert a golf to electric, and you have to fit around 200kilos of batteries in somewhere...

I did a feasability study on a diesel hybrid conversion for a mk1, and while it looked ok on paper, it would have required removal of the rear seats at best..

    More specific requests for information?

    electric golf

I thought I might need another project soon, but sounds like its an expensive option. Has anyone seen an electric Golf?
