I haven't heard of any LHD VWs about but a often see old Mustangs and Yankee muscle cars in LHD here in Adelaide.
If you have one in the UK don't count on being able to use it in Vic.

Does anyone know of any left hand drive early Golfs 75 or 76 say in Australia. I believe that you can import certain LHD cars depending on age/vintage. But not sure if they would qualify

In NSW you can register and drive left hand drive cars and I beleive in Queensland as well.
A mate has a big block 1966 corvette thats LHD and its fully registered in NSW. There may be some age requirment. I think it has to be over 25 years old
Nick
Bring it mate, if you cant bring that car, bring a corrado.
Some states will let you register LHD cars. I think NSW will only let you do it if it is pre 1966.

WA is deffo LHD. Maybe TAS & NT too...
Australia is where you go when you’ve made a mess of everything. That’s why the 1.3m Brits who live there are known as whingeing Poms
J. Clarkson
And they are all in Perth. Its a scientific fact that Perth is the only airport in the world where the whine gets louder when they turn of the jets engines
This of course doesnt spply to me as i came here by ship and live in Sydney!
Well am I doing the right thing coming to Melb? Maybe I should go to Perth instead. But where ever I end up over there Im bringing this baby with me.
