    dyno fun

Spent most of this morning on the dyno with the Caddy.Set the boost to 20 psi and at 4600 pulled 147kw's at the wheels.Unfortunatley the car got a little unstable on the rollers after that rpm so how much more it 's putting out I can't tell. It feels much better on the road and now there is a lot of wheel spin even in 3rd.We then put on a turbo 1916 bug and managed 93 kw's at the wheels with only 8 psi. All in all a fun exercise and first thing Monday morning will have to order 2 new front tyres. We took some video footage and if I can work out how to post or link it I will.

That's some good figure's. Look's like there's more left in it. Should make 260 - 280hp going off the figures.
What's the setup. engine code, turbo, ECU, fueling etc.

I can't wait now to finish mine 20VT!

I used an AEB so it bolts right in,K04 and S3 ex manifold, custom inlet manifold,440 cc injectors,3 inch exhaust,Autronic ECU and small but efficient intercooler so nothing is visible from the outside.A Golf 4 GTI gearbox,T4 5cyl clutch and T4 4cyl flywheel seems to hold together at the moment, but there are a few noises coming from the gearbox but it was a used one.Its just so much fun-to drive a Golf 1!

Nice setup. AEB's the go. Large port's, 20mm wrist pins. Strong as!
At what rpm are you seeing 20psi?
I under estimated my numbers after seeing the setup.
That setup should be well & truly capable of 300+hp especially with the tunability of the Autronic!

    I corrected my power figures

20psi comes up surprising quick .It starts spooling around 2200 and sees 20 at 2600-2700 and holds it all the way up to 7000.It only weighs 1050 kg but it feels so much lighter when driven.I have just put another AEB together with a K03 for the 85 Cabrio but will keep the boost to about 1 bar(14.7 psi),will post some pics of the caddy and the progress of the Cabrio.
