Drivers side rear door - full of water!

    Hi

I washed my car last week and noticed that there was water sloshing around in the rear right door when I was drying it off.

Took the door card and vapour barrier off to find thick mud (and water) in the bottom of the door.... I was able to put a small screwdriver up into the rear hole to let most of the water out

How many drain holes are there in the rear doors as I can only see 2, one at the front and one at the rear?

What is the best way to get the mud or dirt out of the bottom of the inside of the door so I can unblock the drain holes?

What is the best way to clear the drain holes from inside or outside?

    Thanks

Every time I'm under my car (any) I clear any drain holes with a coathanger.

In your case, was muddy/brown water coming out, or just clear-ish water?
Easiest thing to do would be to scoop as much crud out with your hand and then try to rinse the rest out with careful application of the garden hose.
Fill with water, stir (to get the dirt up off the bottom of the door) then drain.

Then dry it out with a hair dryer/heat gun if you really feel like it.

then you wash the inside of the door with some rust convertor or such to keep a hold on the rotting process, hit it with wax or fishoil after that....
    Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...

If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

    Cheers,
    Grant...
