yeah ! big glossy pictures of golf parts! am I the only one who thinks it's a bit like golf porn ? is it just me? does anyone else like to see pictures of the car parts?

With my 100mm flanged gearbox I still ran the standard mk1 axles however because the 100mm CV's are thicker than the 90mm ones I had to machine a few mm (can't remeber how much) from the shoulder of the axles to accommodate them. I have never had a problem in either of the cars i have done this on. I don't think the inner CV's will ever die.

I've also had to carry out this mod as well using mk1 shaft's. I used the standard outer CV's & have only hammered one of them.

Also after nearly 300+k, my inner 100mm's started to grind on big bump's (that & the car was already low), so I removed both the inner's & swapped the gut's of them around & never had a problem since. They say you shouldn't do this, but I thought I'd give it a go anyway.

between mollins and I (both of us with 90mm inners) we have gone through 5 inners and 4 outers in 18 months.

how the hell can you go through that many?

I've only ever done one CV & I've rally bashed, dragged, burnout's (incl. reverse), raced, jumped etc. over a 400+k period.
