I think I have some MK3 ones that are great and you can have for the right price. I have them on my car and a second set as spares but they are good and I dont think I will need spares so if you want them for the right price ($60) they are yours.

There are different kinds. What year is your car?
Do Mk3 ones fit? I think they are Chinese ones that look like Mk3, but operate differently.
The original ones are ok, provided people squeeze them, not just swing on them.

    Unhappy

The later door handles won't fit. Totally different door locks and mountings for the lock assembly itself. Sorry bout that.

I think 76 mdl ones are different to all the rest... When I squeeze the trigger it PUSHES into the mechanism in the door where the later mdl ones push DOWN on the mechanism in the door... the best way I can describe it...... Mine started to stuff up.. I just glued a piece of fuel hose to the metal mechanism in the door so now the trigger pushes in far enough to release the door.... wow.. thats really hard to explain

If you look at the two types side by side there is a pivot pin. If you drill that out, you can turn one kind into the other.

    Time consuming but free!

Purists would immediately pick the non authentic door latchers as wrong for that yearmodel.
