Call me boring... but i would have to say that I prefer the whitewall tyres on the Mars Red Mk1. I like the classy look.

Mk1 and comfy do not go together. Just about every time i drive my mk1 it give me a head ache.
If you want to soften the ride a bit without sacrificing lowness raising the front with the strut raiser things jrad had is the best way as, in my box anyway, the front is the worst by far. The rears are down a lot further and the only thing i have done is cut the bump stop in half, it only seems to bounce around rather than crash down hard, smash the drive shafts and knock some teeth out like the front.
