    Dan's 1980 GLD

    Hi guys,

    well i finally did it! i got myself a MK1 Golf it was on bid i put in a Bid and BINGO im now a MK1 owner!

    Details - (but most of you already know it)

    1980 GLD Manual

    - 141,000 Kms
    - Two owners - i'll be 3rd
    - All documentation
    - Cracked Dash (comes as standard )

    now to decide on the MODS here is a brief list!

    - LHF Guard (in yellow)
    - Front Lip
    - Rear Lip
    - GTI Grill
    - Wooden Steering Wheel
    - Wooden Gear Knob

    CANT WAIT

    i'll have to pick it up from Albury so i'll get a few photos when i get it

    Also if you ahve any of the above for sale let me know

    heres a quick hint PETROL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The diesel will give you nice economy though, my parts car does 77 mpg

    Yep, MK3 1800 CL motor and a DGV Weber on a Passat manifold. Job done.

    keep it diesel!!.. not only saves you fuel cash but from speeding fines to boot
    Driving the coal. Low and rattly.

    Being the wee bitty diesel that it is, makes it soo out of the ordinary and unique!
    Im happy to drive my 2Ltr Petrol Golf aswell a diesel like yours because their unique to drive and own!

    if it's running well and in good condition, I'd keep it diesel. They're a hoot to own (for what they are)
