Matt at Camden GTi can hook you up with Complete mk3 1800 for $500 to your door.... I know cause i bought one about 6 weeks ago

Only difference is the top radiator hose, and you'll need a electric fuel pump setup

For your car you'd need an electric fuel pump, carby & manifold, dizzy, coil and a tank full of petrol.

Your diesel top radiator hose is correct for a 1800.

    Here's a diesel I converted earlier

Hey, I've actually hit 140 in a mk 1 GLD. Going down hill a bit. On a closed road.

please don't strip it or wreck it. It' looked to clean for that. If you don't want to give it the love/attention it needs, pass it on to someone that does!

if it's just a head gasket mate it won't cost that much to fix unless you well and truly cooked it. Have a crack at doing it yourself, it's a right of passage for mk1 owners and you will become use to working on it the longer you own it . Bus depot have gaskets and parts really cheap.

    questions already asked my man

yes yes everyone else i might just chuck it under covers until i have the modivation - at the moment im just disapointed

on the plus side there is no rust in the tail gate/ apillars/ around teh windscreen etc..

all surface so i might just start sanding the car back, if at the very least i sell it someone has a better base
