    Cv joints??

    Gday all,
    Can some one please tell me the size of the cv joints in a 1978 mk1 golf,
    yes i know, stupid question.

    Yes, but only if you've got a 5 speed gearbox or are prepared to put one in.

    On the 4 speeds you're stuck with the 90mm drive flanges.

    On the 5 speeds you can install 90 or 100mm flanges.

    oh okay, does any one have an idea where i can get two 90mm cv joint kits???

    Why dont you try the local VW businesses?
    Not sure if I have any in stock as its my day off. I know I have plenty of Mk1 and 3 outer joints in stock, cheap too.
