Exactly the same Jarred.
Hi all.
Just wanted to fly something past, before I get down and greasy & stuff something up.
I need to replace the outer CV boots on diesel, and only have 1 new one atm, waiting on the other to come in.
Instead, can I just take the driveshafts out of my 76 petrol, and pop them in the diesel instead? [76ers boots are all good]
Will it all fit up? ya or nay?
I'm thinking swapping driveshafts might be a little bit less fiddly than playing with CV's and boots all day..
Cheers guys.

ACtually, the ball joints didn't fit. earlier ones are smaller.
I have a new question though. I'm 'rebuilding' by CV's. what should i clear out the old grease with before i repack them??
kero? petro?
Kero or petrol is fine for cleaning. Take note of the positioning of the inner to outer parts of the inner joints before dismantling. Wide spacings between the ball tracks on the inner to narrow spacings on the inner or viser/versa.
