If you cut a standard spring... say... in half, you're effectively doubling the spring rate.
Add to that the standard length of the shock's stroke and you'll have some seriously whack handling.

$700 is not a lot of money to spend on coil-overs, albeit 'low quality' ones.
There's far worse things than having a stance impaired vehicle.

spring should be held captive at all times.

Thats main reason why they so bad,

But lower springs usually = stiffer rate to stop car bottom out..
So standard spring = soft + cut 2-3 coils off = still soft spring and a bouncy ride which will bottom out bad.

Anyway, leave now and hide.... we might forgive you

    IH8

Explain to me how it doubles spring rate??

If a stock spring is 4kg and you cut it, it dont become 8kg.... its still the stock 4kg
