Hi there,
Shortly I will no longer post on the other thread. This will be the new thread for my 2door.

List if things I have:

APY 1.8T 20V
5speed box(out of a Bora)
Complete Mk2 dash with the extra trays at the bottom.
Audi 15x6 wheels
1 extra rear window

Things I need:

Suspension
Interior seats(maybe can get the ones from shadow_rusty)
Passanger door because the one on the 2door jas a massive ding.(Golf Loon jas one but won't be in Sydney for a while to get it)

Things I need to do:

Repair and prep body.
Repair passanger front floor.
Replace chassis rail with engine mount on passanger side.
Get new front for the 2door.
Get parts for the engine(full rebuild with some extra power bits)
Exhaust to suite 20V Mk1 combination.

Will update this post as I think of things but thats it so far.

How long before you pickup the Golf?

Got a message from Michael yesterday to say its ready for pick up. So I might need to get a trailer and pick it up during the week. Might need some help because it doesn't have any wheels or anything. Its shell only.

Its shell only, Michael bought it to put the suspension in his cabrio. There is nothing else with the 2door coming to me.

I only get the shell. Rusty wanted the suspension and all that ****. I am pretty much starting with NOTHING, building it from the ground up.

And with Goon's expertise in body work, I am sure she will come up very good.

So my weekend didn't go as planned at all. Made a trip to Sydney on friday and came back and only arrived in Canberra around 3:30am Saturday. 5hrs later had to get up and go on a 4x4 trip with dad for business.

And the rest of the weekend was recovery time.

Fingers crossed Goon can help out with a car trailer and then I'll have the car at my place during the week or next weekend.

Ok, so the shell will be picked up tomorrow and taken to my rents place.

I need to find a 5speed box and mounts for the 5speed box.

I have a few things already collected for the golf. Need to focus on body work first and engine bay. I would like to have the gearbox and the engine in the bay to see and plan how I run things.

I am struggling to decide what colour I want the car to be and what colour I might make a few small things in the engine bay and maybe interior.

But more on that later. I now just hope I can actually start and move forward with the Golf.
