Just spray it from a can - saves all the clean up process and it's only a small area anyway. You can buy hi-temp engine and exhaust enamel primer; I've only used it when spraying over bare metal, though.
i think im going to go silver. do you get it from all auto paint shops? did you guys get it in a spray can or did you use your compressors? do you have to prime it?? it would be awesome if you could you explain the process! cheers!

cool will do. i agree it is only a small area. will go and get a can of both primer and paint soonish. still trying to decide on the colour im kind of leaning toward gunmetal grey kind of things!! im also going to portmatch my inlet and exhaust manifold before putting them on.

Dont bother with primer mate... Im currently spraying my car with Satin black and it doesnt need a primer. If your spraying with a spray can just sand it down with 100 grit paper and spray. Will come up fine.
Im sparying the hatch around the window black like the bonnet and I got some paint to try and spray some numbers on too ;D... I REALLY dont want to have to get vinyal stickers made up.

nah i like putting primer first, gets the surface ready for the final coat!
