The words to me were has to be a 1 off hahahaha the dash is ment to be a old school look painted same colour as the car like old chevs etc..etc.. i had complete freedom to do what i wanted design wise just had to have 6 gauges only 4 are present atm 2 more smaller ones will go beside the tacho to complete the cluster.

Its my first attempt at doing a dash have done other fibreglass stuff before modifying bodykits etc..etc... but the dash started from nothing so it was a new experience and time very consuming im glad everyone likes it

Ill get some snaps of the car shortly

thanks for the comments guys the pictures are from Saturday the 13th so very recent, it was the first time both cars had hit the track with disappointing results in one way but good testing in another the cream one spat! its clutch so thats game over, as for HP everyone has secrets haha. if anyone was wondering my car had a few problems aswell, at high revs my gearbox jams up so have to granny shift and wheel spun most of 1st gear but walked away with 15.1 @ 93mph full street trim with a 120kg driver

both car still need tuning going to change gearbox and linkages on mine cause we suspect they might be bent or out of alignment i had the same problem with my old gearbox see how things go, and setting up some cold air induction atm i have nothing if we have time, new clutch for the cream golf and we are both heading back out next saturday

Just to mention there was another Mk1 golf with us and a MK2 jetta, the jetta is 100% stock with a chick driver was doing consistent 18.4 and the other mk1 runs a 1.6l using my 2barrel webber setup and ran a 18.5 best time also first time out on new setup still needs tuning. But we where out there having fun so thats all that matters.

More pictures and details to follow if requested (all the pictures and video are on mates cameras)

Yeah mate get all your buddies to join on here. They seem like they are Dub nutters too.

Start a thread in the Motorsport section about your drag weekend!

Was that on a 1/8 or a 1/4 drag strip?
