Lower ET, as in >35 for clearing coilovers, you can go all the way down to around 15-10 before getting poke.
I want to buy some new rims for my golf but I just dont know what ET I should be going. Currently have stock cabriolet rims on and are JUST clearing the coilovers in the front with spacers.
So ive read around that the stock ET is like 30 to 40 or something and if I got rims with 15x7 with ET40 do you guys think I would still clear the coilovers with the spacer? Im confused if I should be going higher in ET or lower to get better clearance from the coilover.

Ah thank you, thats the answer I was looking for, thank you.
Also I have 1 more question. If I need a hub sleeve to get a flush fit of the new rims onto the hub, whats size do I tell them?
Hub-centric ring you mean? 57.1 is the outer diameter of the hub.
So thats what I say if I need hub sleeves? Anyone know where I can get some hub sleeves? thanks for the info.
