    I initially ran the 1.8 TC on a standard 190M/m clutch for 18 months and then switched to a machined down Beeetle 4 puck clutch plate and standard pressure plate, even with the 9A.
    Gripped like anything, never had an ounce of trouble. And also, if you were to have an oil leak, the clutch plate wouldnt be affected. Not that my motors leaked oil.

    Yeah I have had a few 1.8 and 2L Mk1s with 190mm clutches and they were fine.

    Check your cable Josh. And the rubber bits under the arm.

    If no probs there, then the box is coming back out.

    yeh checked all that matey, even made sure there was free play in the arm just incase it was engaged at idle....

    guess the box is coming out then
