    CF suppliers for the mk1

    Anyone happen to know of regular carbon fibre parts suppliers for the mk1 now that performance trim have folded?
    77 Golf tarmac rally
    89 porsche 911
    80 Rabbit 4dr
    11 mk1 and 2\'s in various states of undress

    major disappointment about that, nearly ordered some stuff about 2 weeks before they went bust

    no one has really stepped up , there has been talk of someone getting hold of there moulds, via edition 38 but we will wait and see.

    i've sent them mail with a proposal to buy their moulds also for my rally car

    Maybe we can give it a go ourselves, especially with the larger moulds! Buy a vacuum pump kit etc. My old flatmate made his own MTB out of CF! It will obviously take some skill and research though to get a reasonably good product! But will be awesome to say you can do it!

    Yeah would love some cf 1/4 panals for the next project

    CF/Fibre glass it isn't as hard as people think it is.. just time consuming. almost like painting a car (except completely different)

    Yeah i explored that option ages ago before performance-trim but it has been dead for quite sometime and I don't think they ever got fired back up again.
