weell, i have a webber off an escort, it goes quite well, but it isnt the simplest to tune. all in all, its a nice carby.
Hey guys, my mate has a 76 mk1 1600 and was thinking of chucking a webber on for a bit more power. What kinda carby gives the best results, how much and where can he get one from in Adelaide?
Otherwise, has anyone got anything laying around?
cheers

thanx guys, the webber bolt on job in the classifieds sounds good. I'll let him know.
I think the one for sale is a small one and give no bigger performance.
Use a two barrell one from a Cortina/escort.
You also need an adaptor plate and it needs setting up for the golf. Its not a direct bolt on swop.Originally Posted by Golfwise

The 2 barrell Weber has been the most popular modification to Golfs in Aus over the last 25 years.and its all bolt on.The Audi Foxes and Passat TS had a similar 2 barrell standard.
Yes, but you have to get the manifold with it.Originally Posted by Golfwise
Adapter plates are a waste of time.
