    carbi plate

    i got my ts passat intake and i got a 2 litre cortina weber(need rebuild and doen t have choke) but they don t fit so i wanted to put a renault 12 carbi (all they just needs a clean )on but i can t find a plate, so i can bolt them together any one know if ya can get them or will i have to make one

    That's odd, as I've just fitted a TS passat intake & a 2L Escort weber & it bolted straight up.

    The only prob. is that there isn't much room for a air cleaner

    so did I.

    there are more than one kind of VW manifold to take multibarrel downdraft carbies, for instance there are several vacuum operated twin barrel solex carbies - the manifolds for these may not be correct for your webber.

    golfworx - on my car i have about 3mm clearance between the raintray and air cleaner. that is with a 32/36 dgv, and a 4mm isolator between manifold and carbie.
