Any 3rd party (as in nobody you know personally) panel shop won't be keen on painting over your sanding/prep. Not from what I've found anyway.
Stripping a whole car down (trim/glass/everything wise) on the other hand would probably work in your favor.

yep, I have to agree with this regarding most panel shops.

most shops wont want to garuentee work they havn't done (prep is more important than top coat!)

with paint its pay for what you get spend $5000 and thats the job you get and these days $5000 is a cheap job depends on what you are after ive seen cheap paint jobs look awesome but 12months later looks rubbish rush coming though primer shrink even bubbles due to a basic prep my car is currently in bare metal the only way to go.
