It's suppose to be a 1982 mk1 Gti 1.6 in Black.
Can anyone confirm this please.

Dont see how you worked out it was originally sold in Australia or paint code .

For a 1982 GTi it will be a EG ( engine code ) 1.6 litre on K jetronic. + 5 speed transmission, ventilated front disc brakes body will be a 2 door. Likely have a rear wash/ wipe. post pics if you have any HTH.
