You will need 4x100 -> 5x100 adaptors.
The offset will then be reduced another 5-10 depending on how wide the adaptors are.

offset will be reduced alot more than 5-10 mm! Adapters (esp 4 to 5 stud) are generally a minimum of 20mm thick.
Even still, with a 20mm thick adapter (4/100 to 5/100, as stated before) these wheels will fit. the edge of the rim will be reasonably close to the fender (flushness) so you'd have to consider your ride height and tyre selection, both would be crucial.
Adapters cost around $500, so I'd be mighty sure I wanted those wheels on my car before I laid out the cash!
where can you get h r adapters in australia?
15mm is the thinnest adaptor you will find, and will be costly as you'll need to ship them from USA to you.(unless you're in the states...)
Why bother with those wheels? OEM+ is good, but haven't seen any good looking 5x100 OEM wheels ever...
16s to big for a mk1 though.?
try adapters from adaptecspeedware.com,
They will make them custom made down to 15mm, got mine for $390US including shipping, comes with all hardware.
You can use Rennenhaus to get H&R adapters.
You can buy through ECS.
You can call City Performance in Sydney, though they never returned my call.
OR you can use adaptec, the other boys have had great success using that business
BBS RC's (Mk4 20th anni), Mk4 R32 wheels, 17" bora sports. Nothing nice enough to warrant adapters for a mk1 imo though...
no 16" is not too big either.
16's can look good, just needs some really tight tires.
