I see, these are poly foam and not the rubberised horse hair. Do these come pre wrapped?
I had a foam one from the States before (not from this company I should add) but it was too bulky, to put the hood down properly.
I have re done these as a complete kit here in the UK, complete with rubberised Horse hair pads.
I had a conversation with a Hood fitting company, who seemed to believe that they are pre wrapped, they are not and the Interliner is placed on first then the padding and then it's enclosed.
I would like to know what's actually out there, as it seems there is a little confusion, I know the Beetle ones come pre wrapped.

Got a padding kit from the US, was made oversize. Decided I am just going to sew up my own item hopefully this weekend and add the new synthetic fill. ( not foam )
From what I have been told here horsehair is unavailable in Oz, maybe u can still get it in UK

The original padding is as you say, wrapped seperately, same as the one I will be using.

    carhoods is a UK company.

    I see.
Thats why I had them re made, because you just cannot get them.
The Kit I do comes with the following:-

    Interliner Bag
    New F/R rubberised top pad
    Sponge foam smoothing strips
    Rivets and back washers
    Instructions plus DVD on Installation.

Someone has asked whether I would post these internationally. But not sure what the costs would be or if there would be a market.
Do you think many would be interested, apollogies if I am being vague, but it's difficult to know what you have available in Australia.

Any feed back would be great good or bad.

    Cheers

The one i got from the US was about $60 US for postage. Have the one i am going to fit being sewn now. I have no idea how many you would sell here, i guess the upholstery shops make their own also as it seems naught is available locally.

Shipping is not cheap though, I have looked at the costs of these and they were expensive to get made.
The costs including shipping at the most would be $245.00 AUSD.
Not cheap, but they are a complete kit and is the proper Rubberised material for the padding and not foam, so that reflects in the price.

    cheers

I got mine off ebay for around $254 delivered to my door from memory, a dude (Apogee upholstery wetherill park) fitted it for $300-350. It is ok quality, mine has been in for 6 months or so and I'm happy with it.

Ebay item 220818125649 (top at $169, delivery $80) and item 250863503661 (headliner at $135, delivery $50) combined freight around 100 bucks from ebay topsonline.com seller.
