Would you do it do get you around in the short term ??
Mine has spat all the coolant out and I believe it is damaged, the oil section is fine, but need to get home, bypassing it would seal up the coolant again, but not sure what damage I may cause?
Any suggestions.

No idea on bypassing it tho.

Mate I have bypassed it and the leak has stopped so tells me it is the automatic transmission fluid cooler.Originally Posted by intensem1

It is about 12mm by 15mm, and has two hose outlets and is fixed onto the bellhousing by two bolts ?

12mmx 15mm is a pretty small oil cooler!

Bypassing it will get you home.
If you driveit like that too long, the transmission wont be cooling and could be damaged.
