    Bypass transmission fluid cooler?

Would you do it do get you around in the short term ??

Mine has spat all the coolant out and I believe it is damaged, the oil section is fine, but need to get home, bypassing it would seal up the coolant again, but not sure what damage I may cause?

    Any suggestions.

Mate I have bypassed it and the leak has stopped so tells me it is the automatic transmission fluid cooler.

Has your still got the cooler on it mate ?

It is about 12mm by 15mm, and has two hose outlets and is fixed onto the bellhousing by two bolts ?

Bypassing it will get you home.
If you driveit like that too long, the transmission wont be cooling and could be damaged.

How long is too long mate, roughly speaking, I driver her for an hour twice a day max.

I am struggling to locate the part I need, but need to get to work in the mean-time, however do not want to create more damage...

There was a thread on a auto to manual cabrio conversion not long ago. So i guess someone has a spare box around. A quick search will answer all.
